Why Philarkophy

Ark Saini · August 2026

Every philosophy begins somewhere personal, whether it admits it or not. This one admits it in its name.

Philarkophy is the place where I intend to think in public: slowly, carefully, and without pretending to more certainty than I have. Some essays will wrestle with old questions: what a good life asks of us, why suffering needs meaning, what we owe each other. Others will start from something small: a sentence in a book, a conversation, a walk.

The unexamined life is not worth living, but the examined one still has to be lived.

That tension is roughly where this site lives. Thinking is not a substitute for living, and living without thinking tends to go badly. Essays here are my attempt to hold both at once.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, the essays will also arrive by email through my newsletter; the button below will get you there.
